John grew up in Grove City, OH and his fascination with weather began when he and his family experienced 2 separate Tornado Warnings during camping trips one summer. With experience in operational forecasting, private consulting, peer-reviewed research, and emergency management, John brings a vast network of connections and a relentless pusuit of growth - personal, professional, and organizational. He is an active member of the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society and has a passion for connecting with people across all sectors of the Weather Enterprise.
Dylan Steinkruger

Growing up in Nebraska, Dylan developed a fascination with storms from a young age. His background combines full-stack software engineering with advanced meteorological experience, including research and software development at the intersection of AI and tornado prediction. After many years of storm chasing, Dylan set out to design an app that could provide a better way to view weather data on the go. The result: WeatherFront - a game-changing way to view weather data on a mobile device.
Tyler Madsen
Software Engineer

Tyler grew up in Minnesota and developed a passion for the outdoors. His career so far has been primarily focused on hydrology with 8+ years as an operational hydrologist. Tyler brings a wealth of knowledge about data integration and continues to seek out additional sources of observational and forecast data to incorporate in WeatherFront. Tyler has a keen interest in building out a suite of state-of-the-art hydrologic data visualizations including Flood Inundation Mapping and a variety of National Water Model products. His expertise as a hydrologist, passion for incorporating new datasets into WF workflows, and big-picture thinking bring significant value to our team!
